Eran will be teaching a new course this semester, open to graduate students in Tel Aviv University: Human-AI Interaction. The course is open to graduate students in Tel Aviv University and requires programming and some knowledge in Machine Learning. This is the full syllabus.

In a nutshell: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming central to many experiences that people face in their computerized environments. AI-based algorithms, such as machine learning and recommendation systems, learn from humans and shape many of the interactions humans have. At the same time, designing and deploying AI raises new questions regarding the ability of people to understand, interpret, control, and interact with AI-based systems. We will cover a number of central questions, including: AI interaction challenges, designing for uncertainty, dividing responsibilities between humans and AI, AI and ethics, trust and explainability, and organizational aspects of AI. In the course, we will engage with questions of design of human-AI interaction and review contemporary research in this field. The course will help AI and ML practitioners to design better user experiences and help user experience designers better incorporate AI into their products.
