Last thursday, the 2014 International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI) came to a close. We are proud to say that Tel Aviv University was one of the official sponsors of the conference, and we were involved in organizing it (Eran was one of the local arrangements chairs). It was the first time in a while for an international HCI conference to visit Israel, and we were very happy to be able to introduce Haifa to the attendees.
There is a sense of wonder in IUI. The picture below shows a hotel waiter who took a break from some busy work just to watch the demos. They were really amazing.
