The interview covered the recent law that would give Israeli law enforcement agencies sweeping facial recognition surveillance powers. The bill was recently published in draft form and is open to public comments. The law would codify a practice that has already drawn the criticism of the Israeli Supreme Court, through an appeal by the Association for Human Rights and Privacy Israel.
