In a Medium article, Greg Ferenstein talks about “The Birth And Death Of Privacy: 3,000 Years of History Told Through 46 Images“. The main idea in that article is that privacy is a new thing, only 150 years old, a product of (American) individualism, and will soon fade away. The problem is that this argument is totally wrong. While people in the past had had very different ways to think and to act upon privacy, there are several strong evidences of managing and creating privacy, even as far as 2000 years ago.
